I've been really getting into gardening lately. Think I might share the journey on this account. If anyone ever has any tips, please feel free to share them with me.
@ChrisTalleras @ChrisWere don't be afraid to experiment! Fruit trees are easy and beautiful. A pond can be a brilliant addition to a garden. Get water butts! For next summer...
@ChrisWere Get an all rounder fertilizer
@fatboy @ChrisWere the chicken poo they often sell in big tubs in Aldi is excellent garden fertiliser!
@AngharadHafod @fatboy @ChrisWere I am always fascinated after reading that there's Aldi in GB :D. For me as a German it sounds so surreal...
@le_ArthurDent We also have Lidl. They're really nice supermarkets.
@ChrisWere I don't know if I have any useful tips besides "be prepared to fail" but I garden in and out of the house and I have to say the joy of growing things, especially things you can eat, is way up there for me. @ChrisWere I love the idea of you starting some gardening project. But as many others pointed out, it can be frustrating. This year for example, even my quite experienced girlfriend had several parasite plagues, one after another. There are easier plants such as zucchini which are quite rewarding. I guess it's better starting with one of those than more demanding plants.
@ChrisWere @ChrisWere I never realised you had such a big cactus before.
@ChrisWere make sure to strike strong poses towards the plants to show dominance
