Mike In The Spring Garden

Our are starting to stretch out their leaves now, which is good.

This one is called War Paint and the spring variegation is spectacular.

It is a sport of another fabulous hosta called Niagara Falls, which we also have.

It has it all. 😄

Hosta War Paint was introduced by Naylor Creek nursery back in 2005 and has large heart shaped and rippled edged leaves. The central parts of the leaf are the palest with lime green and mid green 'jetting' streaks appearing randomly and merging with the darker green outer edges. Makes an impressive pot plant and must have afternoon shade.
