We're ready for you here at Barry Library. Things to remember:
We're here 10am - 1pm on the first Saturday of every month.
We are all volunteers so we can't make any guarantees and we ask for your patience.
If you can get it through the door and it isn't a microwave, we'll have a look at it!
We want you to learn the skills to fix things yourself too, so come along just to learn even if you have nothing that needs fixing!
Jo, our usual fabulous front of house volunteer isn't with us today so we ask for extra patience as we find a system that works without her!
One success already in the form of a toy pig - although it just needed a change of batteries!
Please remember to double check simple things like this before bringing your items in.
Santa has just come in with broken legs! Fear not, we're going to do our very best to make sure he's up and running before Christmas!
We're having a lot of end of life items today sadly - can we blame it on Halloween weekend?!
We've just been visited by Dotty, the gorgeous support dog! Stay tuned for photos of her later in the month!
A very generous young man has just donated the last of his pocket money to us for fixing his item.
What amazing children we have here in Barry!
Another Santa has come in and is just waiting for one of our repairers to take a look at him.
Unfortunately we have no mince pies for him!
Ben's looking at a child's bike now on the bike stand we were able to purchase thanks to your generous donations.
The library have kindly allowed our volunteers to go and explore their makers space as we're quiet today, and have offered to help with the #RepairCafe by 3D printing us things we may need or using their other tools.
A true #community effort!
we're wrapping up early as there's nobody here with things that need fixing so our volunteers are getting a well earned early finish!
