Today's was from to Bendrick Rock and back again. Wet and VERY windy, but worth it....and not just for the steak sandwich at the . Pictured are;

Sully Island with in the background
A hunting over the beach

The treat at the end of the walk

Sully Island with Flatholm island in the background: Looking over a flat rocky beach to a small island, which, as it is low tide, is joined to the beach by a natural causeway. The island slopes gently up from the see on both sides, but dips slightly in the the middle and is covered in green bushes. In the distance, to the left of the first island, another, low, long, flat island can be seen. The sky is grey and filled with thick white and grey clouds, the colour being reflected in a choppy sea
A kestrel hovers above the beach: A mottled brown bird hovers in mid air, its wings outstretched and its yellow feet tucked tight against it's body. It is staring intently down towards the ground
Looking to Nell's Point on Barry Island from Hayes Point on Sully Bay: A choppy grey sea breaks in small waves a flat rocky beach, much of it covered in black mussels. in the middle distance a rocky promontory, covered in trees sticks out into the bay and behind that the breakwater of Barry docks can be seen with a small white lighthouse at it's end. Further back is Barry Island, topped with houses and at it's far left, the white shape of the Seawatch Centre on Nell's point can just be seen. The sky is grey and filled with thick cloud.
The Treat at the end of the walk: A pub table, in the foreground is a plate which contains a long soft white bread roll, cut in half and filled with sliced beef steak, and a brown bowl containing thinly cut chips.
