Books on the Line

Take a close look at this map of the Pontypridd, Caerphilly & Newport Railway. It is surprising to realise that it's no more than the short red coloured line in the centre left of the diagram!

Built to take coal traffic from the Rhondda, at just over 5 miles long, PC&N traffic passed over tracks of no fewer than SIX companies between Pontypridd and Newport Docks!
