One of the lies from NHS England, Hancock et al is that the GPDPR GP data will be anonymised. This is pseudo anonymisation, and neither protect privacy anyway on such a deep and broad dataset as your GP health record. Such data can be de-anonymised by cross referencing with other datasets.

@davidoclubb The annoying thing is that this is commercially driven. You can do this with consent and trust, but they know that's hard and will cause people to be selective about who gets to the data - reducing the commercial and favouring the trusted researchers.
