Does anyone know of a Foss alternative to nVivo for qualitative data analysis? @switchingsocial@mastodon.at

@matias93
Thanks, that's great. Are you familiar with nVivo? If so which do you think is the most similar?
@switchingsocial@mastodon.at
@gomez @switchingsocial I know second hand that Aquad is somewhat similar, but I've not worked with any of those tools yet.
@matias93
Thanks!

@gomez @matias93 @switchingsocial You might also check out Taguette: https://www.taguette.org
I haven't used nVivo or those other alternatives enough to be able to compare, unfortunately. But @vickysteeves is one of Taguette's developers and might be able to help you know if it's suitable for what you need?
@foureyedsoul
Thanks, that looks really interesting! I'll try their demo later.

I have just recently written a quick overview of open-source cross-platform QDA Software here: https://bonn.social/@gerald_leppert/102314514018743661
@gomez @switchingsocial had a quick look at
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer-assisted_qualitative_data_analysis_software
Which led me to
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RQDA
Which is an package, and appears to be BSD licensed. Haven't tried it myself, but worth a look?
@gwmngilfen
Thanks I'm check it out.

I have no experiences with any of these, but Wikipedia has an article comparing qualitative data analysis softwares which includes some open licenses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer-assisted_qualitative_data_analysis_software
NB: QDAP package for R. Just noticed that.
