While checking on the a few nights ago, in the dark I saw a pair of eyes staring at me. “Odd place for a sheep to be”, I thought.
Then the eyes flew up in to a tree. “Even odder place for a sheep to be”, I thought.
As I got closer, a tawny appeared in the torchlight. Sitting in the tree, about 5 metres away. I’ve never seen one that close in the wild before.
