@ricmac @jaz interesting read, thanks - I noted the bit about advanced mode and switchd out of it again, it's a lot calmer now ;-) Also interesting about searching own posts & saving server load; it does worry me when I see people posting videos hosted directly, is does seem unnecessary within the mastodon model - how do feel about this, @jaz ? ;-)

While I'm being lazy (I haven't looked it up) can audio files be uploaded & embedded in the same way? Would be great if we could, would encourage bands/musicians over here too ;-)
