We are inside one of the stables, looking out the door. In the doorway stand two fluffy sheep side by side - Skippy to the left and Panda to the right, looking out. Behind them both is Brambles. The doorway frames the llama, who is standing outside and looking in; beyond her we see tree branches still looking stubbornly wintery despite it being early spring; they are covered in a dusting of snow.

Bucket time!

Three of the sheep have come outdiirs to the area in front of the stables to eat their morning buckets. From left to right we see Panda eating from a blue bucket, Skippy eating from a yellow bucket and Brambles eating from a purple bucket. I'm standing behind Skippy and touching his wool but he's oblivious, lost in the bucket-moment. Behind me you can see most of the llama, although I'm obscuring her head and neck so you can't see her bucket which is hanging on the gate.

Tree branches frame all at the top of the picture. They look snowy. It's the kind of picture which at this time of year makes you wish winter would hurry up and bugger off.

Donkey breakfast.

Inside the middle stable we can see the donkey, who has freshly lovely hooves having only recently had the farrier, tucking into a pile of hay and being skritched by Giles who is clad in his customary furry hat. Normally it's the time of year when one would be taking the piss out of Giles for continuing to wear the furry hat despite it now being Spring, but today it's bloody snowing, so he's right. More breakfast is next to the donkey in a D-shaped green bucket. Beyond her, over the wooden barrier into the next stable, we can also see some hay laid out on a ladder over there at approximately llama height.

@llamasoft_ox just curious - do donkey and llama have names? I know all the sheep's names by now but can't recall seeing names for donkey or llama!

@siaronj Yes, the donkey is Autumn and the llama is Maya. I guess we use their names less for a couple of reasons - for one, there's only one of each, whereas there are multiple sheep. Also, they interact with us a lot less than the sheep do or at least the nature of their interactions is more limited - Autumn always grumpy and ready to bite you on the bum if you're not careful, Maya tending to remain aloof (although she does importune for neck rubs sometimes but strictly on her own terms).

@siaronj Our interactions with the sheep are a lot more complex, and we often have to describe their individual interactions with each other and with ourselves multiple times a day, so the use of their names is absolutely necessary!
