There were plenty of photographs from the April 8 eclipse, but I really like this composite photograph which shows 10 images during the entire eclipse with Katahdin as the foreground. For my friends from Cymru, Katahdin is Maine’s highest peak like your Yr Wyddfa it holds a special place in our hearts. It was never re-named and retains the original native name meaning great Mountain.

Lovely! You have captured the ‘diamond ring’ effect, which author Jame Sellers in her book ‘Death of Gods In Egypt’ posits is Sekhmet, “Lady of Slaughter greatly awesome, who came into being in the flames of the sun, to whom Ra granted appearings in glory”. Alas I have never seen a total solar eclipse myself.
