music production folks!
beyond setting the volume and panning of each track, what should i be doing to get better-sounding results? i can make decent demos, but nothing releasable (i don't think?!)
have experimented with compression and EQ, but i usually end up making things worse! [FISTPUMP!]
what should be the next step in my process?
(oh - i'm electric bass and guitar into a DAW via an interface. also some drum-machines!)
