Ok, I'm putting this out there now so that people have time to prepare. Obviously there's a lot of people posting about their anniversary of joining Mastodon / the Fediverse at the moment, but there's a particularly special anniversary happening tomorrow.
It'll be one year tomorrow since the #Defaidodon hashtag was unleashed on the world (Diolch @jaz), and I think this needs to be marked with many pictures of sheep. You know what to do.
For anyone who is confused by this - defaid is the Welsh word for sheep (plural), and Wales is known for its many sheep. So, defaid + the end part of Mastodon makes a hashtag to denote sheep, and not just Welsh ones.

@jaz I was thinking about my first couple on weeks here, and how it (ok, I) felt quite hyper at times what with all the silliness around #Defaidodon and other stuff. With the new search abilities it's so much easier to find things that were posted some time ago, so I was able to find the first post with the hashtag.
Thanks once again for being such a great host here, and to all my fellow toot.wales people for making this such a good instance.
@sheepnik and of course don't forget to follow the hashtag, in Mastodon it's top right when you click or tap #Defaidodon
That way your home feed will pull in anything on the tag, flooding your timeline with peace and joy.

@sheepnik @jaz I posted this photo back in July, but didn't use #Defaidodon (in my ignorance). She's very handsome so worth posting again. I found her near a Bronze Age site on Dartmoor called the Grey Wethers.

@jaz @sheepnik I like to keep things positive here, as opposed to “the other place”, where anger reigns.
As a result 90% of my toots include the #Defaidodon hashtag!
