Happy day!

It's a year since the first known use of the Defaidodon (a combination of the Welsh word for sheep and Mastodon) hashtag in the Fediverse, and it turned out to be surprisingly popular. So show us your sheep.

More , from the local agricultural show a few years back.

A white sheep standing side ways on to the camera. It has black ears, a black patch around its eye and the end of its muzzle. I think it's a Kerry Hill sheep.

A small brown shetland sheep with a rather alarming amount of straw in its fleece.
Two large sheep, one standing and the other lying down facing away from the camera. Their fleece has long, fine curls, and I think they are Leicester longwool sheep.
Two sheep, one a beige-y brown, the other a deeper chocolatey brown, standing in a field. They are ryeland sheep, which I tend to think of as teddy bear tanks, as they are compact and fluffy, but quite insistent if they think there's a chance of getting biscuits.
A typical traffic jam in mid Wales - a farmer is moving a flock of sheep across a road from one field to another, and cars are waiting on either side of the hold up.

@sheepnik I'm looking after my neighbour's 6 sheep for the week. First day was scary as had no idea how big they are up close and personal when you're trying to get in through the gate without dropping the food and they don't want to wait till it's put in the trough. She told me one of the 3 old sheep in separate paddock expects a slice of brown bread each evening but probably won't bother me as they're shy. I now have all 3 old sheep demanding bread with menaces! Will take photos to share.

@sheepnik we stayed at a farm campsite that bred Ryelands (how diď that happen?!) and came home with two lush thunder-grey fleeces (and how did that happen?!). I love their little teddybear legs and faces.
