A wondrous cross slab (replica) from Carrowantemple, Kilfree, Sligo, Ireland. 14 early Christian slabs were discovered here, and replaced with replicas between 1984-86. They only came to the attention of archaeologists in 1973. Some say the figure represents God, others Jesus or a pagan deity. I prefer the 'spaceman' determination

Very taken by the similarity to the 'man stones' in the Bayan-Olgii region of western Mongolia.
