"Denise" is a song written by Neil Levenson that was inspired by his childhood friend, Denise Lefrak. In 1963, it became a popular top ten hit on the #Billboard Hot 100 chart, when recorded by the #American #doowop group #RandyAndTheRainbows. A cover version by the American #newWave group #Blondie, re-titled "Denis", reached number 2 in the #UKSinglesChart in 1978. Dutch actress and singer #GeorginaVerbaan covered "Denis" in 2002.

Blondie - Parallel Lines
Another round of "Six Degrees of Sacred Songs".
Blondie's breakthrough, Parallel Lines, was their first with producer Mike Chapman (who, with Nicky Chinn, has many hits, and also produced The Knack around this time), and from all reports, recording it was difficult.
The results, though, speak for themselves.
And, Robert Fripp plays guitar on Fade Away and Radiate.
