Seeing a two people on a tandem, the rear person wearing a hi-viz labelled 'blind cylist' on this morning has made my day :-)

@velobetty one guy ran into the bike lane ran into the back of me because I'd slowed to a stop to let a pedestrian crossing at a zebra.

I'm sure he thinks I'm a terrible cyclist (shouted at me that I shouldn't have stopped), I think he's a terrible cyclist for not only seeing the pedestrian, but not keeping a safe stopping distance (and/or paying attention).

It's . not the TdF peleton... (I do find more people try to draft behind me in July, until they realise how slow I am...).

bikemap.net/en/r/12848197/ ← Did a recce of the route for Sunday's Freecycle feeder ride yesterday. We finally reached the point where the reduced number of horrible junction crossings made using #C9 in single-file more attractive.

Still some trouble at Weltje/Rivercourt and getting into Green Dragon Lane at Kew Bridge, but I'm really happy to finally make use of this link.

I'm willing to bet that the driver who damaged this bike lane sign doesn't think cycle users need segregated lanes, whilst clearly proving that they do...

London's #Hammersmith & #Fulham Council #LBHF has published a proposed decision today to make permanent the King Street & gyratory "safer cycle pathway" (don't call it #cycleway #C9 #CW9).

Big increases in numbers of people cycling since interim scheme was installed.

Further work needed to improve safety at some junctions, as drivers are continuing to put people cycling at risk.

This morning I HAVE to thank my pal Raman, who might well be the only person who is more intimately acquainted with the King St section of #C9 in Hammersmith than me. My kids & I see him *every single day*, diligently clearing leaves, broken glass & yes, Lime Bikes, out of the lane. He really cares about keeping it ship shape which makes a huge difference to everyone’s experience of using it. Thank you Raman, we appreciate you! 🧹🦸🏽‍♂️🚲
