This is my ancestor (5th great grandfather). He took the wounded James Monroe (later 5th president of the USA) off the battlefield at the Battle of Trenton (where Washington crossed the Delaware) during the revolutionary war. He also ran the first ferry in Kentucky. And he died from a wound suffered in a drunken brawl with his nephew when he was in his 70s.

Who was Thomas Tuck of Beverly (1611 - 1667)? He was a black sheep according to his court records. And why do I have so many unanswered questions about his life? https://nutfieldgenealogy.blogspot.com/2025/04/troublesome-thomas-tuck-of-beverly.html #genealogy #FamilyHistory #courtrecords
Am having a technical problem using #Ancestry.
Inexplicably when I add new records to a marriage the system is treating them as separate marriages.
In one case, this morning, I have 3 occurrences of the same marriage.
Obvs I need to learn something new.
:((
This Week: Three Scott brothers were drafted into the Confederate Army (1862); Stella Graham married James Franklin Martin in Searcy County (1923); William Clayton, Jr. died in Texas (1973).
