Currently blooming at our house in Mississippi: hot pink dwarf knockout roses in a plastic basket.

We're hoping to one day fully conceal this ugly sewage cover with plants. But this is a good start.

Common knowledge says to avoid plastic planters, but for some reason, everything we've planted here in northern Mississippi has thrived in plastic and died in our large expensive terracotta or concrete pots. If any avid gardeners out there have an idea as to why this is, we'd love to know.

Turns out I am going to Arizona after all? My family is still a little uncertain but they sure do love their road trips. I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures.
