Good rains over the weekend! I did feed my eggplant, tomatoes, and pole beans this morning, though.

Four lovely Celebrity tomatoes nearly ready to pick, and a couple dozen more on the vines.

One of my bell peppers is turning red! Yay!

In other news, I lopped off the mulberry branches that were overhanging the driveway, and then I went after the vines covering the back porch wall (it's essentially the front, seeing as it's the only usable entry/exit) and threatening to seal the back door. That Virginia creeper, man . . . Those little suckers (literal suckers!) hang on tight!

Good anger therapy: Tearing on the Virginia Creeper tendrils until a whole lump comes off the shed wall and roof.

But now I gotta rip and tear the bottoms out too and then put it on the burn pile.

Not a big fan of burning stuff without at least using the energy, but no other way to kill this stuff. Unless you mulch it into tiny, tiny pieces, it grows back. For the same reason you can't throw it on the compost.

First harvest of bell peppers! (and the first ever peppers I have grown!)

Hopefully, more will come since I harvested these right away when they were ready.

And according to my calendar, my carrots should be done as well, will pull one and see how they look!

I try to workout in the mornings before work. 45-60mins of weights and cardio. But my workouts are nothing compared to the physicality of the yard work I do on weekends.

My body is so sore this morning. Like muscles I never knew existed are aching LOL. Can’t believe people do this as a hobby LOL

This is my eggplant. We don't eat aubergine but I think the plant is beautiful, so I don't really mind that it's so far behind schedule, we won't get any fruit this year. It's beauty is all I need.

The bottom of the garden. Confusingly, the garden slopes *up* towards the bottom.
Bottom left the pond. The brick construction on the right is what we call the folly. Bees, other insects, birds and pond dwelling individuals love it. So do I.
Planted to feel and look natural, wild, full and overflowing. Weeds a.k.a. wildflowers are welcome.
