So the #BBC in their infinite wisdom has suspended Gary Lineker because he reacted to appalling remarks about immigrant policy.

He would have stood with Gary too.

Not a single card in his football career…
What an absolute clusterf**k caused by giving him a red!

All the gammon watching MOTD - things in common: can't spell, have less than 10 followers and zero wit. #IStandWithGary
Tuned in to a bit of #MatchOfTheDay out of curiosity. V odd without the theme tune, studio, presenters, pundits, analysis - or even any commentary.
Like one of those ‘slow TV’ events, when they follow a reindeer migration for three hours in the Arctic in total silence, but with the occasional on-screen text to tell you what’s going on.
Looking forward to #MatchOfTheDay tonight. ️ #MOTD #GaryLineker #IStandWithGary
I once got my mates at the BBC to try to silence the most popular presenter, of the most popular show of the most popular sport in the country, and thought it would win me the next general election. #MOTD #garylineker #istandwithgary #bbc #culturewars #refugees #conservatives #Sunak #RichardSharp #TimDavie #rishisunak
Let's be clear: Lineker highlighted the general dangers of fascism.
1930s fascism in Germany did not only lead to the Holocaust. It led to locking-up and killing of opponents, trades unionists, Roma, Gay, disabled and mentally unwell as well as Jews. In total, some 20 million people were killed.
Fascism did not just lead to the gas chambers and it was not a tragedy exclusive to one group. All of it can be repeated, easily. Especially with the rhetoric of this government.

When a government puts forward legislation that will expressly breach a treaty that was written to protect people from the things that happened in 1930s Germany, it is entirely reasonable to compare that to 1930s Germany.
When they go on to then try and silence that criticism, again, it is right to remember criticism was silenced in 1930s Germany.
Match of the Day to air without presenter or pundits after Gary Lineker’s suspension
Solidarity with Gary and MOTD talent. We must resist the dark forces that Sunak and his evil government are trying to whip up. #istandwithgary
To the point where one of their presenters dares to question the UK government , when they announce that there will no longer be an asylum process. A basic human right to seek refuge from persecution. Where children will no longer be seen as human beings.
THIS is Rishi Sunak’s government. I have never been so ashamed of my government, my country or what the BBC has become. It’s shocking & a disgrace.
