Neither #Denmark nor the #USA has any right to #KalaallitNunaat. It is sovereign indigenous land. It cannot be bought or sold, no matter how much money #Trump or any other #colonizer offers. No church, military base, corporation, or other colonial institution there is legitimate. And it is not called #Greenland.

I'm unaware of any Fedi service for #KalaallitNunaat / #Grønland and #Panamá - if anyone knows of any please let me know, I'd like to add them to the map.
The people of #Greenland will likely soon be subjected to a torrent of social media information intended to sway popular opinion.
Now is a good time for all communities to put a locally-governed alternative in place to ensure digital sovereignty and language equity.

@MAKS23 I don't know how the people of Greenland 
feel about all this, but at least they might be pleased that they are getting more attention than any time in the past millennium, when Vikings and Indigenous people were fighting over it.
And I recently learned that the native name is Kalaallit Nunaat, which I have no idea how to pronounce, but I've learned something.
Why don't we , the rest of the planet, become #greenlanders instead? #Greenland #Groenlandia #KalaallitNunaat
Just to point out something that should be obvious and stated every time the matter is brought up:
Denmark doesn't own Greenland. It belongs to the people of Kalaallit Nunaat. Even if the Danes wanted to sell the island they would have no right to do so.

Large calving event this week, slightly unusual so early in the year and with so much fast ice, unfortunately we missed recording it but our instruments will get the next one. Greenland loses around half of it's ice by calving so it's an important process to understand.
This glacier is clearly very dynamic.
It's an incredible field site, the glacier is continuously pushing and heaving and you can hear it while you're there. Lots of seals around on the sea ice too and many polar fox tracks...

You can hike along the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Ilulissat Icefjord and it is probably the best way to appreciate how huge and magnificent it is with massive slabs of ice floating past, although flying low over it in a small aeroplane comes a close second.
