podes usar tamén :AntennaPod: , aquí un xeito (selfhosted)

Convert an audiobook to a podcast, to listen with AntennaPod grazas a @luelista

#FreeBSD #Nextcloud upgrade gotcha. It's always the same gotcha for me, mod_phpXY never gets upgraded along with phpXY, nextcloud-phpXY, and nextcloud-appname-phpXY.

Fuck around for ten minutes, just about to resort to a backup, and then I remember, "oh yeah..... fracking mod_php." Every single PHP revision, it gets me.

Two very cool #FOSS project which #NLnet is hosting as part of their #NGI vision:

#bewCloud claims to be far more efficient than #nextcloud and #owncloud for memory and processor:

bewcloud.com/

And there is #SelfPrivacy which promotes easy self hosting of different softwares like #jitsi, #nextcloud, #mastodon and so on:

selfprivacy.org/

I wonder how much will a bewCloud instance for a single user cost.

bewcloud.combewCloud is a modern and simpler alternative to Nextcloud and ownCloud written in TypeScriptHave your files, news, notes, and photos under your own control.

@nextcloud @collabora

Looking for a good solution to offer my Nextcloud users that wish to open and work on note than one Writer doc at a time?

Running Nextcloud 31 with the latest Collabora (not the built in). On Ubuntu Server 22.04.

Files are opened from Nextcloud Files App but once one is open there seems no way to open another from the Collabora Writer page?
You can only close the one that's open to return to Files app and pick another.

Any insights anyone?

Ich betreibe derzeit einen eigenen Server, inkl. #Nextcloud.

Destroying Autocracy – May 29, 2025

Welcome to this week’s “Destroying Autocracy”.

It’s your source for curated news affecting democracy in the cyber arena with a focus on protecting it. That necessitates an opinionated Butlerian jihad against big tech as well as evangelizing for open-source and the Fediverse. Since big media’s journalism wing is flailing and failing in its core duty to democracy, this is also a collection of alternative reporting on the eternal battle between autocracy and democracy. We also cover the cybersecurity world. You can’t be free without safety and privacy.

DA comes out on Thursday and is updated through the end of day on Friday. Then we start over. So take your time in perusing it and check back in over the weekend.

FYI, my opinions will be in bold. And will often involve cursing. Because humans. Especially tech bros. And fascists. Fuck ’em.

The concept of consent doesn’t exist on the modern internet.

You didn’t read the terms of service. You didn’t agree to accept cookies. I didn’t consent to having my site pulled into the training model for that artificial intelligence system that’s going to use to sell the fruit of my labor for profit. I didn’t agree to have my activity tracked across all these different websites and cobbled together into a creepy and inaccurate profile of my preferences that gets sold without my permission.

Nobody asks for anything, they just take it. There’s not even an acknowledgement, that any of this stuff is happening let alone a conversation about it.
