I just discovered this awesome and topical track from @onionhoney
Why is that in 2025 Ontario we have to turn to musicians for transportation leadership? I mean, surely the government will have had experts who have told them that more lanes on the 401 won’t work, right?

if the vile conservative government of Ontario goes ahead & rips out well-used Toronto bike lanes, a lot of seniors, disabled people, & low-income people who rely on food deliveries by bicycle would be left high & dry.
"Bike Brigade travelled approximately 14,500 km & partnered with 35 social service agencies to make 8,000 food deliveries across Toronto last year."
the ironic thing about DoFo wanting to get employees back into the office is that this means more people commuting. what about your so-called mandate to reduce congestion, Dougie??
Air Canada CUPE members strike could be a game shift for labour relations - definitely Canadian Government stretching the law forcing a return to work and binding arbitration - courts will likely balk as 10K members refuse to obey and keep picketing, they are daring Carney, good!!
And CBC Cross Country Checkup needs a shakeup - obvious moderator complete bias in favour of the company vs union members, it was insulting to watch
I may have found a way to hack capitalism to purchase a building for collective convalescent housing.
This poll is to get a feel for reach and support, to see if #turtleBower could in fact pull this off.
Rough math, circa 3000+ people chipping in $10
This is basically #mutalAid at the collective level.
If we can make this housing happen we have a template for others to use.
Pls vote & boost.

Great, our autocratic Premier is inspiring other Premiers to rip out bike lanes and override local democracy, with Alberta & Nova Scotia now following suit. Paint is not protection; don’t put people who bike in harm’s way! www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti... #topoli #onpoli #bikeTO
Opinion: The premiers are usin...
Politicians, especially conservative ones: We must save money. We'll be making cuts.
Gov employees: Working from home saves money.
Politicians. NO.
I recall the 79 y.o. woman in London who ran into a group of young children at 120 kph in 2021.
I remember looking up stopping distances in fair weather were about 300ft at that speed. If that woman had stood at 300ft and emptied a handgun clip at those kids they would have stood a better chance.
We desperately need to change our relationship with cars. They are one of the top causes of mortality and it's entirely within our control to change that.

Absolutely bonkers. It's a miracle our premier walked away from this random act of traffic violence.
Since Doug has already brought bail reform up about it, I think it's fair for me to point out that the structural changes are more effective. Deprioritise car infrastructure, mandatory speed governors on all private vehicles (not just cargo trucks).

I think the plan stinks. The plan is to lower Canadian worker expectations, and increase our desperation. If you don't already own capital-A Assets then this plan is to lower your living standards in order to grow some fucklechuck's portfolio.
The USA is proof positive that this won't pay off for Canadian workers.
Carney's government is taking consultations on their plans, even if Ford isnt.
