Beyond the Plus
Obligatory reminder that Beyond the Plus will be at Cal Anderson park this sunday (in 3 days!) from 11AM - 3PM! This is a great opportunity for people who are on the fence about signing up to ask us questions about the org. Today I heard about the concept of "queer time" for the first time. It's basically this: some queer people may not live their authentic selves in their childhood and teenage years, some common live events may be delayed or not happen at all (jobs, relationships, marriage, children ...) and there may be other differences in the lives of queer folks, especially compared to their cis het peers.

Trying to put on at least a bit of makeup every day, got a lot of catching up to do to make it feel 'normal'.

Doing mascara every day, a bit of lipstick and/or lip gloss if I'm not going to eat anything for a while. Eye shadow sometimes. I still feel like a beginner, but it's all skills; I just need the practice.
