@davep Is it good? I just started the #metro2033 and I'm loving the atmosphere so far. I have the #Quest2 and the #KatWalkC2 ready for the extra immersion once I get to #MetroAwakening

I wonder, is there any way to un-Meta the Oculus Quest, would be very convenient
How many funny ways can I die in #BONELAB watch and see! Enjoy another video is live on my #GAMEPLAY on my #Quest2 https://youtu.be/sY9QArn-fag
Another video is live on #YouTube this is a #VR game I have been playing called #BONELAB hope you enjoy! Played it on my #Quest2 https://youtu.be/ERzojRVdhI4
My birthday is coming up and I'm contemplating upgrading from #Meta #Quest2 to #Quest3, thoughts? Worth it? How does the comfort compare? Are there any downsides?
The only game I'm thinking of getting that might really benefit from it is the #Riven remake, since I don't have a rig for PCVR, the upgraded standalone hardware will make a difference.
I do worry a bit about headaches due to weight/balance issues, but I get those on the Quest 2 sometimes currently.
Well, a broken elbow is a evidence for that my balance never been something to brag about, but I can stand on one leg, but in #VR it is getting harder even the #quest2 headset shall show a perfect horizon.
Well, I did test Full Body Tracking in VRChat and my "grace" made some to LOL when I made an impression of "if a geek fall in the VR and all was there to see it".
I saw that the game #WarThunder had a #VR mode, it low quality in #Quest2 headset, but it was like cheating if use room scale. I could zoom in so I sat like a commander on the tank, then park it so I was hidden, then I stood up so I saw over a wall, not only that, I could walk in my room so I could clearly see around corners while my tank was safe behind a building, then I could drive from that position and see around corners before my tank was visible.
The closest I've been to courtside in a long time.

Anyhoo, he was there to announce the launch of the #MetaQuest3 their 3rd iteration of their #vr / #metaverse headset. It’s a headset. It is much bettererer than the #Quest2 in a number of not particularly well articulated ways. It’s got slightly better screens (but no actual specs there) and it’s got a newer chip to power it (not exactly overwhelming) and it’s got the pancake lenses from the #MetaQuestPro - at least that’s the implication.
@noelreports
Is that not a #Quest2? That's pretty neat!
#Quest2 owners and #puzzle fans, I'm looking for a few beta testers to check out an early version of our Rube Works VR: An Official Rube Goldberg Invention Game. Here's a short video describing it (current version uses hand tracking to play):

If you're interested, please DM me the email address attached to your Oculus Quest account.

My time and experience with the #Quest2 has been getting steadily worse for the past year or so. I prefer to use it as mostly a PC VR headset using Air Link, but at this point it's for some reason basically unusable for me. And I've never been able to get the Link cable to work, it is always a stuttery mess.
Feels like I should just write the whole thing off at this point and look to more native PC #VR solutions, but I have never once heard anything good about a real wireless solution there.
I booted up my Quest 2 yesterday and forgotten how much fun it is. I finally tried Synth Riders and totally recommend it! I hope to get moving more with the tools I already have, aka VR workouts and games :D
Last year, I made (what would transpire to be) a slightly irritating purchase. I bought the highly reviewed BoboVR M1 strap for the #Quest2 with the magnetically attached extra battery. I loved the battery. But the strap just wasn’t comfortable. Yesterday, I snapped and bought the BoboVR M2 halo-style strap. BUT I did buy the cheaper M2 without the battery and successfully transferred the battery holder between straps. Surprisingly easy, although required tracking down a very small screwdriver.
*Looks at his #Quest2 gathering dust, wishes he'd bought $700 of almost anything else instead*
I should be #social tonight and play Walk about Mini Golf in #VR with friends instead of just playing #EldenRing even though all I can think about is Elden Ring. Right?
@keram @AndyFidel @kentbye thanks for your kind words, Keram.
After covering CES for 15 years for CTV News and BNN, I’ll be reporting from the future at #CES2023 in #VR via an #Insta360 for streaming on #Quest2, or any YouTube-accessible HMD, with a 60 minute Samsung booth tour and all our #BTS interviews from media night.
Would love #VR people to subscribe w/feedback at https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPyMmkw9H2z0tjlTiSllK9nrqmqWOyv3E
There's a lot of #photographers out there who specialise in #3D photos, both film and digital. But although these photos are regularly posted to Reddit where people can #freeview them, it would be so much better, and easier for those who can't freeview, to see the photos via an app for the #Quest2.
