We shift to a local production now and the main advantage of AC - ease of long range transfer - becomes irrelevant. And now we have easily accessible DC-to-DC electronic impulse converters so it's not even hard to serve a large range of devices.</p><p>Most of the devices we use are DC-powered anyway. Just drop the power supply and plug it directly to the wall socket. There could be a set of standard sockets - round for 10V, elipse for 12V, flower for 24V, triangle for 30V, square for 40V and pentagon for 50V. And ofc. USB for 5V because that's already a standard. So that you can't physically make a mistake. </p><p>Every single LED bulb has a tiny power supply in the lightbulb. That's why they break. It's not the diode, it's the PS. It's often very low quality.
