A couple of weeks ago I got an original Stream Deck (the buttons, not the mobile game) on a garage sale for cheap, and got it running with the SteamController on my Bazzite laptop. Still unsure what I'm gonna do with it (I'm not a streamer), but the tactile sensation of the buttons is nice.

Bought the new #StreamDeck module. Turns out it doesn't so much as have screw holes for mounting.

It's got some slots where you could get tabs in to hold it that way, but that means whatever enclosure you make has to be in two parts. #3DPrinting

an #Elgato #StreamDeck XL, which will play back key commands and macros (once I program it!)

My primary purpose is to automate common tasks in #DolbyAtmos production, but it will be useful for pretty much anything I’d like to do at the touch of a button.

I love that you can customize the images and animations the buttons display … I immediately made a few screen savers.

Do you know of a non-#elgato program for managing and running a #streamdeck on a microsoft #windows 10 computer? Possibly some #FOSS nerds built one?

I'd like something that treats it more like a #keyboard because I basically use it as a macro pad.

They want me to register for an account to install plugins and select icons outside of the base 3 sets which wasn't mandatory when I got it.

If I have to manage my own jpgs for every button in every folder in a #streamdeckXL their software is simply not suitable.

It doesn't seem that I can even have a button that is "type an #emoji without having to turn the emoji into a jpg and set it as a "wallpaper" for the button (the default layout has an image on each emoji key even).
