Mx Verda<p>“Economically inactive” bugs the shit out of me. <br>When you’re poor, you spend all your money. Only rich students or students with rich famiies (yep, I’d argue there’s a distiunction) can be full-time students without at least one part-time job. </p><p>And disabled people? We spend all our money on shit to make life slightly less miserable. </p><p>Carers similarly so, except they barely get a mention. They complete administrative dialysis for themselves and a whole other person — or people! On top of that, they do any personal care, medical care, etc that most people actually imagine from the phrase “unpaid carer”.</p><p>The only “economically inactive” thing about anyone subjected to life in an economy is rich people who hoard their money for clout. Menus designed to be healthy, low waste &amp; low carbon. Ethical, seasonal &amp; local ingredients. Supporting a Welsh food culture. Creating jobs, improving wellbeing and reducing poverty.
