Ich habe früher mit Elementor und GeneratePress gearbeitet, aber das ist lange her.

Inzwischen nutze ich im Content-Bereich nur noch den Block-Editor.

Den Site Editor gibt's nur wenn ein Block-Theme aktiv ist. Bei der Usability ist sicherlich Luft nach oben und er ist (noch) nicht einsteigertauglich, aber die Arbeit mit Blöcken ist klasse und ich habe nur noch Block-Themes installiert.

#WordPress hat Drama, aber kaputt? Nö 😉

Aha. Und weil das Block-Editing im Content-Bereich so wunderbar funktioniert (nicht!), gibt es jetzt einen „Full Site Editor“ Modus, der auch Header, Footer, Widgets und Navigation durch Blocks ersetzt. Unfassbar umständlich und nicht nachvollziehbar. #WordPress ist so kaputt. Ich hätte nicht nochmal reingucken sollen nach all den Jahren.

That seems like a good idea. I found that there was no WordPress plugin that allowed that out of the box, so I built my own. If you’re a blogger and use WordPress, give it a try!

Next step will be for more feed readers to support that issue. I consequently opened an issue for my feed reader of choice, NetNewsWire, to support this. If you use a different feed reader, don’t hesitate to contact them about it!

Tropical leaves are being swapped out with some cleaner vector graphics for reduced file size and improved loading speed 🚀

All being built with the default WordPress theme and block editor. Love it 🤩

I gave up on trying to get #nextcloud working in a container. Instead I just did a bare metal install of it and converted my #wordpress blog from a container to bare metal as well. This setup works so much better. Nextcloud works as it should with the office feature so I’m happy. I also brought over my contacts from Google.

I configured my phone to use Nextcloud for the default calendar and contacts. Finally, I performed a backup of my desktop home directory to my server and that’s a wrap!
