Loss, mortality
Beacon in the Dust is a choral anthem fan song set loosely around Beacon Academy’s fall, and it's aftermath.
Do your self a favour and watch the NZ Youth Choir win Choir of the World at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddffod. Honestly, the choir is just so good and so comfortable whether singing Bach, an African-American spiritual, or a waiata. They clearly love being from Aotearoa and all the good things we are. Bonus marks for proudly showing the Tino Rangatiratanga flag. Just a joy to watch. And if know Welsh you'll enjoy hearing their introductions from the compere too.
It was my #choir concert at the Sheffield Octagon on Saturday. A lovely day out. Here’s a couple of our numbers.

I’m at the back on the right.
If our version of Africa surfaces (or our Les Mis medley), I’ll pop them up too. Singing is good for the soul.
I may mention this once or twice more in the coming weeks, but the Australian Chamber #Choir will be premiering my new #Requiem, interleaved with great works of the Renaissance, in a series of concerts in Victoria from 26 July. #classical #music
