One new #daylily
This is one that usually flowers late, but that the deer had eaten almost to the ground at the beginning of July (along with all my other ones.)
This is a Frans Hals, one of my first and a real beauty.

Day lily in the rain!
I haven’t posted many day lilies!
Did I post my day lilies? Different colours and many in my flower bed and around the house. Previous owner seems to like them. #flowers #dayLilies #lilies #bloomscrolling
Five day lilies today, only one pink one. They are precious.
Day Lilies II.

The beets filled a pail and I remembered I had a handful of runner beans in my pocket. The old rooster approves.
Daylily of the day
It's been meltingly hot here. Temperatures are over 34 degrees, so we are hiding in the shade with windows and curtains firmly shut.
Meanwhile, our #daylilies are positively sizzling.
Most everything else is as languid as you possibly can be in such horrid weather.
Such intolerable terpitude.
I don't like it one bit.
I guess it's Friday, here's some flowers.
I kept a record of my day lilies last year. The first was 5 July, and this year the first bloomed on 9 July.
My day lilies have started. Two yesterday! #BloomScrolling #Gardening #Flowers #Florespondence #DayLily #DayLilies
In the new issue of Amateur Gardening, I’m finding out how to grow hemerocallis - daylilies - with National Collection holder Pollie Maasz.
Happy #Saturday.
We have some badly needed #rain, which is great.
Rain and #daylilies can be an interesting combination.
Here we have:
Piece of the Action (Owen. P) quite possibly the brightest bi-tone daylily that I know. Not the biggest of flowers or tallest of stems, but wow!
I Luv Lucy ( Wilkerson) close up. Amazing colour. Very twisty.
English Skies (Hensley. D) close up. Dreamy.
Hold the Matches (Selman) hard to miss, even in the dark undergrowth. Guaranteed to cheer us up.
Daylilies today.
