The worst part about emphasizing fossil fuels now is they are dead technologies that are a drain on productivity and the economy. Solar and wind generation with battery storage is far cheaper and will provide an abundance of electricity for running the economy. Economies that switch over sooner will be at a great advantage over those that delay.
