For at good 5 years, maybe more, it was all "Microwaves will change cooking forever they can do ANYTHING" even as people gave up on using them for the fancy stuff. We were told "but it is new tech the NEXT GEN will be GREAT! Buy it SOON!"

Yeah... Nope.

Now we use them for what actually works: Defrosting frozen food, reheating already prepared food, steaming vegetables and making popcorn.

I have gotten the TechnoBS Vibe many times since...Web 2.0 bubble, crypto currency, NFT, Web 3, yadda yadda. The hype gets more over the top and more frequent every time.

#GenAI is just that. An intriguing technology that is super overhyped and misapplied. Yes, the tech behind it is fascinating, yes it WILL change our lives to some degree like microwaves did, yes there will be a beneficial legacy, like all the excess dot com fibre finally being lit up.

But it will NOT be the way it is being done now. #OpenAI is UNSUSTAINABLE. ChatGPT agents are flawed. It will crash then pivot.
