So I just took this quiz thingy that matches your particular traits to hundreds of fictional characters to tell you which you are most similar to.

At 86%, I got River Tam...

... which... on consideration... isn't actually far off. 🫥

Other known, and notable, matches in the top 50 for me were:

  1. Elliot Alderson (Mr. Robot): 82%
  2. Abby Sciuto (NCIS): 80%
  3. Rogue (X-Men): 80%
  4. Fox Mulder (The X-Files): 79%
  5. Amélie Poulain (Amélie): 78%
  6. Neo (The Matrix): 77%
  7. Dom Cobb (Inception): 77%
  8. Doc Brown (Back to the Future): 77%

Creepily (and damning!) enough, and, I mean, it makes sense, these results contain some of my favourite films and series of all time, and the characters to which I relate the most.

It was quite an easy quiz to do, and they even chart the results.

You can take it here, if you like - tag me in your results if you toot it!

Dear #Insightful Friends,

New
#podcast about 5 minutes on different forms of #insight and how we make use of them ...

I do wonder if consume and shop till you drop is insight or just consumer marketing? Also is an increase in hatred, spite and madness insightful? Seems more inciting and insulting to me ...

In other news I went for a
#walk to my local #Mastodon #Temple aka #Ganesha Hindu #Ashram. Very devotional, #happy busy people. Some just #contemplating their Idols and #Super #Heroes, Shiver/Shiva, #Muraghan, #Saraswati/#Wisdom and OM GAM GANAPITIYA NAMAHA as us heretics like to murmur at full #silent shout ...

As usual AI has created a
#synopsis and #transcript. Which as far as I am concerned is accurate enough to make just reading, rather that listening quite viable.
"The speaker discusses the idea of starting one's own belief system as we grow older. They mention that insight or experiences can lead to the formation of these belief systems, whether religious or secular. They emphasize the importance of verifying and making sense of these beliefs through journals, blogs, or discussions with like-minded individuals. However, they also acknowledge that some people may spread nonsense beliefs. The speaker mentions the transmission of ideas and the desire for recognition as part of the process. They stress that the effect of one's beliefs is more important than recognition. The speaker concludes by stating that how individuals go about creating useful beliefs will differ for everyone."

A review of V1 of the paper "On the Infinitude of Twin Primes" by Dr. Ryan Matthew Thurman ( @rythur ).

My background for this review: a layman person without any #degree, with very weak #Math interest (I knew what were prime numbers but never heard of the twin prime conjecture) and lack of math background except for what is taught in high school and the occasional math that pop here and there from my adjacent interests in the process of thinking of process both formal and informally (mainly from #lisp lore for the #ComputerScience side and #Hegel lore for the #Philosophy side of the story)

And now, only after almost 1 month since I have read it, will I review this paper (flushed face 😳).

A paper of 10 pages of content.
The paper is very pleasant and simple to read. Managing to catch our attention and make us read it in one sitting with a child-like excitement and joy. So if you have tendencies to leave things half-done, do not fear, you will get drawn into finishing it without having to fight a moment of boringness.
