Estaba pensando en si #Trump, que acabó bombardeando #Irán "porque no podemos permitir que alcance la bomba nuclear" y que parecía alarmadísimo por el camino que ha tomado Irán en los últimos años y lo cerca qie está de la bomba, sabe o alguien le ha dicho que precisamente lo que nos ha traído a esta situación es que él rompiera en 2017 el acuerdo antinuclear con Irán, un acuerdo al que Obama le costó mucho llegar y que estaba funcionando perfectamente e Irán cumplía escrupulosamente, habiendo abandonado el uso militar de la energía nuclear con la garantía de que no sería atacado. Estamos como estamos porque se rompió ese acuerdo y se abandonó a Irán a su suerte, incompetente.

Después de lo de esta semana, además, que ha sido un antes y un después, viendo lo fácil que es ser atacado por enemigos jurados que además son potencias nucleares, que no le quepa duda a nadie de que Irán va a ir a por la bomba y ya no va a ser posible convencerle de lo contrario, y lo va a hacer lo más rápido que pueda. Es la consecuencia lógica, y totalmente entendible: es la única garantía que tiene de no acabar como Irak.

#Israel dramatically underestimated Iran’s missile power, #IDF insiders reveal

‘Top IDF sources’ have told Israeli media that on the eve of Israel’s attack, Iran turned out to have had 20% more #missiles than previously assumed (2,500 vs 2,000) and was on course to amassing 6,000 by 2026, 8,800 by 2027 and over 10,000 by 2028.

Even with its estimated 2,500 missiles (only a portion of which were launched during Iran’s Operation True Promise III retaliation), Iran managed to do massive damage.

The IDF claims it destroyed ‘about half’ of Iran’s missile launchers during strikes, with #Netanyahu claiming “most” were destroyed. But JPost points out that previous bravado about strikes on Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities in October 2024 proved mistaken, with promises of setting back production ‘by years’ failing to materialize.
