I had bought this three day pass for Gothenburg which costs a fortune and I didn’t let it go to waste. So I went out to make another painting in the city.
Been painting in the city, the perspective of this one is a bit off but I do like aspects of it.
One of the people doing the trip is a local, they showed us these beautiful rapids so I tried to capture the wildness of the water. I’ve never painted anything like this so that was exciting. Sadly it started raining and not everybody is cool with that so we had to pack up a bit early. Would’ve liked to have more time but the sketchiness makes it a fun painting, still I find.
21 / 80 Sketchbook Landscapes
I have been painting this forest scene, was quickly happy with the colors, but drawing the shapes of the ferns and other drawing problems came up and forced me to take a long time until I could quit this. At least I learned one way to paint ferns now :)
Sorry for the infrequent updates, but it’s being quite busy here. I’m on the last painting trip this summer, in Sweden. It’s going well so far I think, I get to paint a lot. Here is a tree.
Take a walk in this colourful, mystical forest, imagine trees and branches in the misty landscape, maybe some good fairies are hiding behind the trunks in this abstract acrylic painting, painted in bright tones of every color of the rainbow.

Schools are back in session and the weather has cooled down to the traditional Finnish standard (along with rain). It was a cool and cloudy summer back in 2021 Lapland when I painted these landscapes. Available via the Finnish online art market Taiko.art https://en.taiko.art/petrakaminenmosher/yqr9011zr5
Haraldjärvi I, 35 cm x 27 cm
Haraldjärvi II, 33 cm x 24 cm and
Haraldjärvi III, 33 cm x 24 cm, all oil paintings on canvas.
I painted a street in Sweden today.
Had a lovely (but very hot!) painting session at Oxbow Natural Area just off Hwy 34 in Loveland, CO. Ordinarily I would have attempted the river, but the soft dappled shadows of nearby cottonwoods called to me, instead.
P.s. I’ve 10 paintings in the Lincoln Gallery tent at Art in the Park this year! More Info: https://shorturl.at/zQHtq

Gum tree paintings are ideal for adding a touch of rustic charm to your wall decor.
Painted some active bee hives — a first! It was fascinating, how the bees tended to gather inside when the clouds covered the sun, only to zip out when it came back out. Afterwards I felt inspired to paint some bee portraits. Stay tuned…
One more try, with a different composition.
