On va dire que c'est très très extrêmement post-romantique de transcender la douleur par l'art... Mais pour ceux qui sont concernés, vous considérerez (sans doute ?) que les auras visuelles migraineuses sont un phénomène fascinant (avant que ça fasse juste mal XD).

Woken up with scintillating scotoma *exactly* at the point where my vision focused.

I really do have a hell of a combination to ensure my head hurts a lot.

1. I have #tourettes which comorbid comes with #migraine like headaches that are caused by suppression of #tics if I do it too much, essentially my nervous system overloading.

2. Constant neck/shoulder strain from dystonic tics that make me subconsciously tense my shoulders.

3. #visualsnowsyndrome which has actual migraines as an extremely common comorbid condition.

Where's my ibuprofen...

Head is unhappy, have taken my abortive, listening to Music for Moore Street Substation by The Black Dog as its chill, drone, ambient goodness.

Yesterday may have been so good cuz of an RX. Most recent migraine appt found out I can take Nurtec rimegepant every other day to treat and prevent headache so I took one early yesterday. Think I’ll start w 2x a week, see how it goes.

Earlier in my migraine journey I tried a rechargeable electrode on my forehead - a TENS unit for headache. I gamely tried it for many months with only slight improvement. I gave up when the disposable electrode sticker magnets the unit attached to were harder to get and often a bit dried out. Which I found out caused electrical arcing. On my forehead. The hard way.

Today is Ajovy day, just lifted it out the fridge to warm up for later.

Can't believe it's been 2 years since I started this amazing, life changing med.

Saw someone new for my qrtly botox for migraine injections and found out that I can take Nurtec aka rimegepant as a preventive as often as every other day. Nice to have another option, especially for something I tolerate well.

2025-7-17 All my muscles ache from clenching against a 54 hour migraine.

It does *not* remove all VFX, but anything full screen & flashy, strobing, or cumulative problematic effects, is definitely gone. I'm gonna work backwards into other expacs as well
