They had 2 daughters. Ruth Dorothy was my grandmother and Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" was younger. Ruth died from a botched surgery, leaving 5 children under the age of 7. Mollie and Peggy, with other relatives, helped care for them. Mollie and the children's father died one day apart, 4 years after Ruth died. Peggy, a spinster, accepted the burden of parenting the children throughout their lives.
