Last night for the first time after Windows 7 SP2, I helped someone setup a new #Windows (11 Pro) computer for their home. I think I should write a blog post about the whole experience. But here are what were shocking to me:
1. It tried to force Office subscription
2. Zero mention of Windows #Recall (is it still a thing?)
3. Printer was detected (via USB) immediately without needing to install driver
4. It looks ALOT like KDE Plasma and a little bit of Gnome from UI design perspective

Consumers will be asked to send to support@esrtech.com their order number (not required) and a photo of the recalled power bank showing the model number with the word “Recalled” written on it in permanent marker. Consumers should dispose of the power banks in accordance with local and state hazardous waste disposal regulations.Note: Do not throw this recalled lithium-ion battery or device in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Recalled lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire. Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Details: The recalled Safe &amp; Green 32 oz. fuel bottles contain hydrocarbons which must be in child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The product includes a nozzle applicator which is not child-resistant, violating the mandatory standard. Fuel bottle and reinstall the child-resistant closure that was included with the product’s original packaging. If the child-resistant closure is not readily available, consumers should immediately secure the recalled Safe & Green 32 oz. fuel bottle out of the sight and reach of children.
