CheekyMcB<p>Tonight at Scouts it was Camp Prep Night…Mainly.</p><p>Next week is the joint Cubs &amp; Scout Camp so I went along to help.</p><p>There was the usual checking of the equipment and then they played some games. Guy<p>The 'hoiho' (yellow-eyed penguin) is one of the world's rarest penguins. It's an iconic penguin in Aotearoa/New Zealand. And it's in severe danger. Department of Conservation (DOC) data showed the northern population had collapsed by 80 percent since 2008, with some colonies already becoming functionally extinct.</p><p>Conservation groups are calling on the government to put an emergency fishing ban in place. The government would be informed by a "scientific multi-threat risk assessment". OK. But the government awarded the tender for the assessment in September 2022 already with diddly squat action. Stug<p>Things I did not expect from this weekend's Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition:</p><p>I would drive over 300 miles around Brecon Beacons national park. </p><p>I would become "tic tock famous" thanks to one of the gold groups making videos as their project. CheekyMcB<p>Our local public hall advertised a free CPR &amp; Defibrillator course the other day. Amazingly it stayed up all week 😀</p>

Nothing new.</p>
