We found several wild blackberry bushes as well and picked a couple handfuls.

Decided to make wild blackberry jam.

Didn't snap a picture if picking the blackberries. We were too busy eating them fresh and then when we decided to pick some for jamming we filled our hands and had no ability to take a picture 😅

We put the small bit we made into a used but clean glass container. It's chilling in the fridge now. We didnt make enough to can properly, but we'll have a nice bit of jam on our toast tomorrow morning.

(We used granulated sugar here. But you can also use local honey or even no added sweetener at all.)

I've been playing with a "60w" (really 40w) solar panel and 280wh battery I got for camping with a cargo ebike.

I've been using my phone & tablet for Internet, and keeping them charged from the panel (also ebike & bike lights)

It seems like I can add ~25 miles of range per day. It could do better if I could charge the bike direct from USB Turbo.

"Easier than expected," that's what one of our volunteers said on learning how to test and fix the keyboard they brought in.

Our volunteers are happy to teach you some really useful skills while you're having your item fixed so that you can do it yourself in future. Don't be afraid to ask!

So you can make a note - our next repair café is on Saturday 7th June at Barry Library from 10am until 1pm.
