Ancient Petrified Forest 🌳 • fossilized wood for #texturetuesday

Petrified wood is fossilized, and is typically millions to 100s of millions years old. This specific tree trunk was originally from a river basin near the Arizona/New Mexico border, and has stood the test of time. These mineralized fossils are a part of the Petrified Forest National Park, which holds 221,390 acres.

Whitemouth Moray Eel, Guam 🇬🇺

On this day, we had a planned dive on the Northern end of Guam. a more advanced dive and I was pretty excited for it. Sea conditions were not great though and the Captain noped out of there. Still got four great dives in that day, and on the first one I learned that you can't leave your lens on manual focus and forget you had your shutter on a timer 😂
