Kanarie update! I started with the armhole increases!
Kanarie update! I started with the armhole increases!
With this project, I’m making progress. Here, you can see how the piece looks after one full repeat of the patterning
Update on Kanarie: I corrected my grading spreadsheet and cast on again. Onwards!
I've measured the now dry shoulder piece and determined that there are indeed some significant changes needed....
It seems I will indeed have to redo my grading spreadsheet, draft pattern, and knitting. But, better to act on this now, than to end up with a sweater that does not fit as intended. To be continued!

Well, I've knit the back piece until where I should have started the armhole increases. Time to see whether my swatch was indeed a lying liar!

Here, you can see the patterning taking shape. Aren't those wrapped stitches lovely?! However, I may have to work this piece all over again, because swatches are lying liars
The draft pattern for the body of my sweater using the yellow RMR Yarn Co. yarn is all worked out. So, I've cast-on the shoulder part of the back piece!
It has been a while since I posted an update on my bubble stitch La Rentrée sweater. I’ve finished the first sleeve, and started the second. I may also redo the rolled border on the body, I think I’d like it a couple of rounds deeper as in the sleeves
You may wonder why I still haven't cast on my yellow sweater... Well, it will have a construction I have not I designed before. So, I'm building up my grading spreadsheet from scratch, it's taking time!
My knitting comfort zone are shawls. This year, I want to improve my sweater knitting skills. I am starting with a vest and the swatching has begun with the lace panel. The wool I am using is by Bare Naked Wool and is from Corriedale sheep. Great stitch definition. #knitting #handmade #yarn #corriedale #sweaterknitting #IsabellKraemer
It was about this time of year that I took one of my favorite pullover sweater patterns and completely replaced the yoke with a different design. Here's how I did it:

I'm also still working on my bubble stitch La Rentrée sweater. It's a good thing I found some more of this yarn in London, otherwise it would have been very tight
Question... if your knitted sweater does this at the back...is it just a matter of knitted too small?
Or should I have knitted less short rows?
How to prevent this next time?
And...is it possible to fix it? I think of steeking, because I want to learn how to do that, and I'm afraid I won't wear this sweater a lot with this thing in my neck

There is progress on my sock yarn sweater. Have a lovely Monday!
About 2 months ago, I showed you this brown sock yarn I found at the Wibra. Well, I couldn't contain myself any longer and cast on that sweater with it. I will (very!) loosely use the Hay Tee pattern to base my sweater on
