Translated from French:
"He mentioned Donald Trump only once, when he said that Mark Carney is too weak to stand up to the American president. The rest of the speech focused on the carbon tax, crime, fentanyl, immigration, and a denunciation of the World Economic Forum, the center of numerous conspiracy theories. This denunciation received the loudest ovation of the evening."

I guess the rest of the speech was spent talking like Trump instead of about him.

I receive emails from all kinds of companies and by and large most of the Canadian companies are sensitive to the political reality and are changing their messages to address the desire of people not wanting to visit the USA.

So, how do you shame a #Canadian company like #Telus ?

I received an email and they are offering deals for roaming USA Travel Passes.

Plus, limited time offer - USA Travel Pass 7-day for only $40.

For all those Ontarians who are struggling this holiday season, Premier Ford has put together a video to help you build your very own gingerbread house...

"Christmas is a time where we celebrate with our loved ones and create new traditions!!!
One of my favourite things to do during the holidays is to build a gingerbread house!!! 🏠

@npilon It's expensive but you could take a taxi. We don't have taxis, and I always keep CAA, as I am always on the road in non-serviced areas where I have to drive. Before Covid, the CAA just took you with the vehicle, now they take the car but won't ride you? So no public transit, what's the point of CAA? Can't call them (no cellular) can't be rescued (just the car) and the councilor still posts updates during two week power outages on Facebook. #ToneDeaf #CityCouncil

I suppose this sort of thing could become commonplace. But what seems strange is that it's a letter issued by a liberal college's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion office. Color me naive for assuming such folks would be sensitive to context
