The confusing part about ICE being in Torrance is that when I lived in Torrance the immigrant population was mostly Asian women who are married to wealthy white men who live in Palos Verdes.

And they’re not out there arresting and trying to deport Asian women married to white attorneys. Sure there were some brown men who would hang out at the U-Haul on Hawthorne Blvd., but Torrance is mostly white people with Asian wives.

Reporting in from Torrance CA, which had a massive turnout much bigger than any previous rally. Lots of smiles and good noise, lots of kids, old people, dogs, teenagers. Hard to photograph because it was along both sides of a flat street, but there will probably be drone videos out there. Speakers included our state legislators, which, considering the horrible news of the morning, was moving in its own way. #nokings #torrance

Spent some time in #Torrance today. This bridge is a local landmark--#PacificElectric / #RedCar lines used to go both over and under it. The tracks underneath are still active, the ones on top are no longer connected to anything.
Also hit an antique shop where I picked up some #78rpm records for $1 each.
