While I can agree that Thames Water needs to be brought into public ownership - and shareholders scalped (no haircut), typically Hinsliff can not help herself and has to make an unsubstantiated claim

'– water is nationalised in Scotland but bathing water quality isn’t much better there than it is south of the border’

The joy of OFWAT being disbanded is short-lived here in Wales.

OFWAT's responsibilities are transferred here to, er, Natural Resources Wales.

NRW long ago lost the trust of all 22 Welsh councils, widely regarded as a tin-eared, corrupt failure, whose recently-resigned director described as "incompetent".

#Inflation induced by both these policies makes #GOP extremely unpopular.

A noisy evening. We are 25metres above the burn that is normally crossable, at points with a hop a skip and ‘bloody hell splash’. But this has come up over 2 hours. Still 23 metres below though. Feeds into the Teviot. Just as well tomorrow’s swim is elsewhere.

Hardly enough. But I suppose it is better than leaving things as they are.
