I have always been drawn to #blue #flowers and #hydrangeas in particular.
@druid and moi were visiting a great garden near #Porthaethwy called Plas Cadant yesterday where they have amassed a collection of over a hundred different hydrangeas, including blue ones.
This almost unreal beauty is called Magical Constellation and it absolutely glowed blue from the other side of the garden.
Neat growth habit and masses of serrated cupped flowers covered the plant.
@druid @MikeInTheGarden those are beautiful. My grandmother grew hydrangeas. Unfortunately it’s too hot and dry here so I enjoy pictures of them now
@MikeInTheGarden @druid there are usually at this time of year similar great displays of vivid blue hydrangeas down in the Dell, at Bodnant, around the pond, tho we haven’t been there yet to see them. I took this pic last autumn.
@scrutans @MikeInTheGarden Yes we were there a few days ago. They were looking very nice. All the hostas were also still looking surprisingly healthy.
