Mike In The Summer Garden

I'll have no sniggering in this classroom, but here is a wonderful new-ish snowdrop called Dick's Early Yellow.

It's flowering for the second year with us and looks amazing.

Smallish but very bright and cheerful.

Looks like we should have three flowers this year where we had one last year.




Galanthus Dick's Early Yellow can flower as early ad December , however the recent frozen conditions have held it back until now. A recent introduction and available from some of the more specialist snowdrop nurseries. Found it on eBay last week though...who knew? Very impressed so far. Introduced by Dick Bathe is purported to be very vigorous.
