South Gower is very busy, North Gower not so busy. If kiddies in tow head for GiGi's Icecream Parlour at #penclawdd north gower.

@KMTaylor @TangueraRhi I had a wonderful conversation years ago with someone who was part of the Edinburgh Tango community in its tiny, early days. She was a tango teacher then, in San Francisco, and hosted a lovely weekly milonga.
Edinburgh has a well established #tangocommunity now and an annual festival run by Jenny and Ricardo Oria the time-served adorable husband and wife team.
Actually most UK major towns and cities have a steadfast tango hub. Here in Swansea we have both #salontango and #tangonuevo although I can't boast too much about the nuevo set-up, as I'm not impressed with the people involved in running it.
To build legacy we need to reach younger people.

We have a very active (& not so old) social dance scene here on Vancouver Island. But our tango community tends to be white-haired.
In my teaching (focuses on yoga/tango "for lovers" and is for "couples") I'm definitely attracting younger (late 20s, 30s) students. New to tango. Interested in practices to deepen their relationships, sexuality.
Very glad to hear you are attracting the late 20s ,30s cohort to the #argentinetango scene. Would it by any chance, be due to mentions of tantra? There's so much to be gained from both #tango and #tantra . It could easily correct societies flaws in one fell swoop.

Also, pitching tango to couples as a “relationship thing” or a “sex thing” puts a bit of pressure on men to “show up.”
In any case, my small cohort gathers shortly. I’ve just scripted the yoga portion of the class. Now, to shine my tango shoes…
